ALBANIAN GEOPHYSICAL SOCIETY (AGS)
The Albanian Geophysical
Society (AGS) was founded in 1992, based on the existing section of
the Society of Albanian Geologists, founded in 1989. The AGS name from
1992 to 1998 has been Association of Albanian Geophysicists (AGA).
According to decision Nr. 1247
on 3.4.1998, Tirana Law Court, was founded ALBANIAN ASSOCIATION OF
GEOSCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS, based on the unification of the Association
of Geophysicists of Albania (1992), Albanian Association of Petroleum
Geoscientists (1993) in 1998, and Association of Albanian Geologists
(1989), jointed in March 1999.
AGS is Associate Member of the
EAGE and Member of the Balkan Geophysical Society.
